WHY GIVE?

Your 'Why' matters. The title of this project, Why We Give is a reminder for us to remember to give back and to remember our reason for doing it. Our 'Why' keeps us connected to our purpose. Our overall purpose is to help humanity; to leave this world better than we found it. If we're more connected to our 'Why' then we'll be more driven to create the change we seek, ONE act of kindness at a time. Your 'Why' matters. How will YOU make it count?

This project started from my frustration in feeling helpless in seeing the droves of homeless people in my daily life in LA. Whether it was seeing a homeless person at the grocery store or at the freeway exit I knew that I could do something tangible to help. I went to the store and made hygiene kits of necessity toiletry items and snacks to pass out from my car. I then thought what if a mass amount of hygiene kits could be assembled at one time at a social event with my friends. I was confident that a small act of kindness could have a bigger impact than I initially realized.

This led to the creation of #WhyWeGiveProject which offers a solution to changing critical social issues affecting our communities through community service. Our reason behind 'Why' we do something is more important than 'What' we're doing. If we're more connected to our 'Why' then we'll be more driven to create the change we seek, ONE act of kindness at a time. Your 'Why' matters. How will YOU make it count?
